Eddie is one of the pioneers of advertising in the Arabian Gulf. Starting in Bahrain late 1972/early 1973 and has lived in the Gulf ever since. In 1973 Eddie started Intermarkets Bahrain and was Gulf Area Manager for that Agency. He started Intermarkets UAE in 1976 and Intermarkets Jeddah in 1978. Then Burson Marsteller Intermarkets in 1979. Eddie founded MEMAC in 1984 in Bahrain, with 4 people, one client and a $13K capital and has built it in 14 years to 7 offices, 180 people and a turnover exceeding $73 million.

Eddie is a board member of O&M Africa and O&M Europe Management team. He initiated and became 1st chairman of the M.E.A.A.A and is a founder member of the GCCAA. Eddie is one of the 1st IAA members in the Gulf. Eddie’s hobbies are backgammon, driving antique cars and power boating.

Patou is the living proof of Ogilvy's reputation as an active, dynamic, and integrated global network. In her 22 years with Ogilvy, she has worked on three continents, in Belgium, France, South Africa, the UK, and the USA. In addition to her role as the CEO of Memac Ogilvy, Patou also serves as Ogilvy EMEA’s Chief Digital Officer, a role she has been leading for 14 years. During this time, she developed and implemented the strategy that transformed Ogilvy from a traditional agency group with a digital department, into a digital-age agency group that, across disciplines, solves brand, communication, and marketing problems in a modern marketing way, infused by digital, mobile and social.
Patou’s client expertise includes an extensive variety of brands across finance, packaged goods, retail, services, technology and telecommunications. She loves and lives by the 3 P’s: Performance-driven creativity, Partnerships and making it all about People.

Ghassan Maraqa joined Memac in 2002 as a Financial Analyst. In January 2009, he was appointed Chief Financial Officer. Ghassan is currently responsible for the Group’s finance function, including external and internal reporting, taxation and major client contracts.

Prior to this, Ghassan spent seven years in Saudi Arabia at Arthur Andersen. He worked in audit and due diligence assignments across Saudi Arabia and the United Arab of Emirates.

Ghassan graduated from Texas Christian University in 1995.

Mrs. Hammad is a veteran Public Relations professional who has been in the field of communications since 1990. Between July 2003 and October 2009 she held the position of PR & Communications Manager for General Motors in the Middle East, Having a profound knowledge of the Middle East culture and media scene with close ties with the most influential journalists operating in the region, Saada has set up the most comprehensive and successful PR communications department of any multinational company in the Middle East.

During the ten year tenure with GM, Saada established and held a number of assignments, such as regional sales promotion manager, cross-brand marketing manager and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) manager gaining considerable experience in general management, database management, digital marketing, advertising, sales promotion and customer behavior.

Saada started her PR career at Bain Communications, the longest-standing Public Relations agency in the Middle East, as account executive on the newly won GM account at that time. She was instrumental in setting the basis for automotive PR at the agency and in the region in general. Six years later, she was offered a job at GM’s regional headquarters in Dubai.

Mrs Hammad joined Memac Ogilvy in February 2010 and now heads the Public Relations discipline in the Middle East and North Africa.

Born and raised in Lebanon and educated in Italy, Saada combines Middle Eastern culture with western style.

George was born in Beirut in 1962. In 1983, he graduated in Business Administration from the American University of Beirut. In 1984, he began his career as a Research Assistant for PARC (Pan Arab Research Center) in Lebanon, and was promoted to branch manager before joining Memac Ogilvy Dubai as Media Director in 1990.

Between 1992 and 1993, George acted as a Regional Media Director for GCC and Levant. In 1993, he took the role of MBU Director and was instrumental in establishing the first centralized Media Buying Unit in the region on behalf of Unilever Arabia.

In 1997 George moved to Memac Ogilvy Jeddah and held the position of Managing Director. In 2002, he established Memac Ogilvy Riyadh and took over the country management until 2008.

George is currently based in Lebanon, and is the Regional Managing Director for Levant and North Africa. He is married to Myriam and is father of two children, Joseph and Alex.

Hazem graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from The American University in Cairo in 2002. Since then, he has developed a passion for and built a career in connecting the business world with technology.

He has led projects across all areas of the digital mix including web platforms, mobile solutions, social media, content, performance marketing, search engine optimization and marketing, paid digital advertising and programmatic, data and analytics, CRM, and ecommerce… making him not only an advocate but also a hands-on practitioner of omni-channel marketing. He has been a consultant to many brands, defining and implementing their digital transformation strategies, road-maps and KPI frameworks.

Hazem is passionate about the undeniable power of data that digital channels provide and excels at building sound strategic solutions that hence have data at heart. His approach is always built around removing subjectivity from the equation and leveraging data (through audits, testing, technology tracking or prototypes) to ensure the best possible customer experience, the right message to the right audience at the right time, and Return on Investment.

Ghassan is currently the Managing Director of Memac Ogilvy & Mather in the Kingdom Of Bahrain. Enjoys 25 years experience in the Marketing & Communication Business in the Middle East & Africa Region.
Until the end of 2007 Ghassan was heading up TeamNokia Middle East & Africa at GREY Worldwide in Dubai. Before joining GREY, Ghassan spent 6 years as Client Services Director based in Dubai for HORIZONFCB looking after the marketing communication and Brand building of a portfolio of international businesses such as New Zealand Milk, Kraft Foods, Tetra Pak, American Standard/Trane, Samsung Electronics, The Swatch Group, Mercedes-Benz, Power Horse, Applebee’s and many more. Before joining H.FCB in Dubai, Ghassan spent 8 years at Memac Ogilvy Bahrain where his principal responsibilities involved heading up the American Express, Kimberly Clark, British American Tobacco, Arab Insurance Group businesses and develop new business and manage the P&L of the operation.
Ghassan born in Lebanon in 1967, lived and worked in the USA, UAE, Bahrain and Lebanon. Earned in 1989 a BA in Marketing from Beirut University College, then moved to California and earned an MBA from La Verne University in Pomona/Los Angeles in 1993. Ghassan is able to communicate in Arabic, English and French. Ghassan Married to Joelle with 2 children, Nour & Bob.

Over the span of 15 years in the regional advertising market, Hadi gained exposure to a vast number of clients in a variety of industries including telecom, both Islamic and conventional banking, automotive, and FMCG. His journey throughout the Middle East leading brands and teams provided him with invaluable experience in brand planning, strategy and management. Never one to turn down a challenge, Hadi recently took on the responsibilities of Managing Director at Memac Ogilvy Jeddah to oversee the always-exciting business and the ever-inspiring team.

With 22 years of experience in the advertising and marketing fields, Nabil has worked on a wide variety of multinational and local accounts.
Nabil’s experience in the field is owed to the 16 years which he spent with Impact BBDO Jeddah, handling Pepsi as the Regional Account Director. As Business Development Director with the agency, he has won several major local accounts such as Nada dairy, Sabic, Ajmal, King Abdullah Knowledge City, and Jazan Economic City. For his last 3 years at BBDO, he held the position of Client Servicing Director.
Nabil started his career with the Pan Arab Research Center after graduating from AUB. These early beginnings spread his knowledge and experience in creative problem solving and office management, strategy preparation and implementation and sales and marketing implementation. They also gave him an excellent knowledge of the Middle East region, its people, market, and trends.
In 2006, he joined Memac Ogilvy Kuwait as Managing Director and has upgraded the office to a profitable branch of the agency

Naji graduated from St Joseph University with a Master in Business Administration. He then specialized in marketing at Ecole Supérieure de Commerce - CERAM in Sophia Antipolis - France in 1986.
Naji started his advertising career in Paris in 1987 with RLPI (Régie Libanaise de Publicité Internationale) before joining the family agency Inter-Régies in Beirut in 1993 where he occupied the post of Creative Director and General Manager. In 2003, following the merge between Inter-Régies and Memac Ogilvy, he became the managing director of Memac Ogilvy Lebanon. Naji is an active member of the IAA Lebanon chapter that he joined in 1994 becoming member of the board during six mandates before being elected president in 2011. He is also board member of the AAA (Advertising Agencies Association)
Naji is a teacher of advertising at St Joseph University and a trainer in Creative Thinking.

In December 2011, Samer joined Memac Ogilvy & Mather, with the responsibility of initiating an office in Qatar and kick starting the new operation in this promising market.
Samer developed an interest in the advertising industry after having led Grey Doha in the capacity of Chief Operating Officer through many successful projects. Samer holds a B.S. degree in Business Marketing from the Lebanese American University and completed his Executive Education at INSEAD Business School in France.
Samer started his career working with big corporate names such as Austrian Airlines, Alcatel and Siemens. Having had a taste of client side marketing, he moved to Qatar in 2006 to spearhead operations in advertising and sample life from an agency’s perspective. Here, his vast experience on the client side of marketing helped optimize strategies and creative expressions.
Though Samer has significant creative/strategic experience, his true strength lies in his exceptional leadership abilities and entrepreneurial skills. His processes have not only led to many achievements, but have made him a true asset to the team. Samer provides not only motivation, but challenges his team and fuels the drive to produce the best results.

When Samer isn’t working, he enjoys travelling the world and discovering new destinations with his wife Carole and 3 kids.

Firas is the Co-founder of Intellect Events that specializes in qualitative events and conferences since 2015. He also established in 2013 Firasenayeh plus a marketing agency that provides consulting, coaching and social media services among other services. Additionally, Firas established and was previously the Managing Director of Momentum, the first brand activation agency in Syria that works in both physical and digital space, specialized in promotions, events, retail and sports marketing. His portfolio of clients includes MTN, Unilever, Candia, Coca Cola, Samsung, Bel and Solidarity to name a few.

Firas has a BA in Law and is fluent in Arabic and English.

Memac Holding bought Label in 2005, and Mrs. Chérif took the role of Regional Managing Director for Memac Ogilvy Label Tunisia and Memac Ogilvy Algeria, which opened in June 2007. She was formerly President of the Advertising Agencies Association from 1999 to 2006. Syrine is the mother of two boys and is passionate about decoration and arts.

Phillippe is the Managing Director of Memac Ogilvy in Dubai, UAE. Philippe has been the General Manager at BBDO Dubai for the past 5 years where he led some of the largest accounts in MEA and helped BBDO become Agency of the Year in all regional award shows in 2016 & 2017.

Formerly Global Business Director at DDB London from 2008-2012, Philippe lead Unilever’s second largest brand, Lipton, globally.

From 2006-2008 Philippe was the Managing Director of Marcel Paris, a Publicis hotshop, where he participated in the initial growth and success of this creatively renowned startup.

Prior to his roles in Business leadership, Philippe worked as a Copywriter at DDB San Francisco where he spent 7 years.

Sports fan, student of Kinesiology, and father to a 8-year old son for whom he spends his weekends cheering on from the side of the pool.

Nick is the GM of Geometry Global in the UAE having overseen the migration of OgilvyAction and the launch of the first Geometry Global Middle East office in Dubai in May 2014.
Nick has worked with WPP and the Ogilvy group for 10 years where he has seen rapid progression from Account Manager based in London to Business Director leading the OgilvyAction team in Dubai.

He had a desire to work in a developing market and get some international experience so in 2008 moved to Dubai to join MEMAC Ogilvy and help launch OgilvyAction, the first specialist brand activation agency in the Middle East.

Over the last 7 years the same Dubai agency has experienced incredible success and grown to a team of over 50 people. The agency has won creative awards at every international show, being recognized as the number 1 creatively awarded agency in the global network two years in a row. Nick has achieved significant new business wins and has vast client management experience.

He is passionate about the business, the people and thrives on building winning cultures and successful teams. He loves the diversity of life in Dubai with his wife and young son and enjoys football, golf, squash and traveling Australiasia.
